The fun joys of life . . .

So I just started my bachelor's program (it's only been like 3 days) and I'm already regreting it. Case point: I should be doing some annoying reading, but I thought it would be better to update our blog. Much more fun I might add.
We actually had an adventurous week, but not all was fun and games. We were really excited becuase my Mom and Dad were going to be in town for a couple of days. We planned on going to a Padres game Tuesday night. I switched shifts at work, so I could go. Well, Matt work up that morning with horrible abdominal pain with awful vomiting. Yeah, it's my day off and I get to play Matt's personal nurse! We tried to keep him hydrated at home, but it wasn't working. I ended up taking Matt to my work to get him hydrated. In the end, we think he ate a bad burger at a local joint. Another one of Matt's co-worker also got sick from the same food. Anyways, Matt's on the mend, thankfully! The next day while Matt was resting I was able to go do a session at the San Diego Temple with my parents. I love it when I get to go to the temple with family. It makes me realize how I don't want to go anywhere without them and how much they mean to me. That night we met up with Dad and Matt and went to this cool 50 style diner called Studio Diner. I guess it was featured in the tv show Drive-ins, Diners, and Dives. Mars, we'll have to take you when you and Sam come to visit! All I can say was what a week!
