I know you must be saying, "So what has Matthew been up to?" The answer . . . EVERYTHING. It has been a busy month for him.
During the Winter break, he participated in this Head, Neck, Face seminar that was offered at a local college. For 2 days, he learned all about the anatomy of the upper body . . . the muscles, bones, and nerves. He had fun learning more about the human body. The bonus was getting to play with the cadavers.
Last weekend, San Diego State offered this PreDent Seminar called "Wave of Success." Predental students from all over Southern California came. Matt said that they were a lot of people in attendance. He learned some interesting tips about what he can do to help prepare himself for the field. Matt was really interested in the Q&A session with the different admission counselors from the dental schools, but was disappointed. He found that they were really vague like they didn't want to disclose any information to help anyone.
When Matt isn't at school or work, he's been preparing to take the DAT (basically the dental admission test.) He has been taking a review course 2 days a week to help prepare him. The plan is to take the test this summer sometime.
