Our little health scare

Matt and I had a little health scare last night that sure scared us. Yesterday I noticed my left foot was going numb with some serious swelling. It was 4x the size of my right foot. I called one of ER doctors that I work with to see if they thought I needed to come in which they did. So I was poked, prodded, and examined and discovered that I just had edema and pretty dehydration. Fortunately, I was not preeclamptic, didn't have a blood clot in my leg or HELLP syndrome. So Matt and I were told to elevate my leg and drink more fluids than I've been doing.
Before we could go home, we had to go to Labor and Delivery to have our baby checked out as protocol. My co-workers had pity on me and gave me this sugar dessert before I went up. The Labor and Delivery nurse was telling me that normally when you are 23 weeks they have a hard time getting a good fetal heart tone monitoring for 30 minutes. Welp, they sure didn't have a hard time with Luke! He was sure moving and grooving during the whole time which surprised the nurse and shortened our exam.
We came home last night grateful for all the help we received and that nothing really serious was going on, but exhausted.

Glad that everything turned out ok! It is scary when there are heath concerns while pregnant. Hope the pregnancy continues to go well!

That's good to hear that it didn't turn out to be anything major and that Luke was dancin' around and fine. Happy and healthy pregnancy!
