Stars and guns

Last week Matt and I decided to go out to the desert to catch the meteor shower. Matt thought it would be great to leave a little bit earlier so he could shoot some of his guns. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm extremely scared of guns since I wasn't raised around it. My whole goal while we were out there was just to get used to the sound of the guns. Matt's goal for me was different. He wanted me to shot one once. I shot his riffle once and handed it back and told him that I was done.

After the sun went down, the sky was just perfect for the meteor shower. It was absolutely beautiful to wonder at God's magnificent creations. The meteors were all very unique. Some had long tails with grand splendor while others had short ones. We decided to set up our telescope that we got for our anniversary and do some star gazing. To our excitement, we discovered that you can see Jupiter right now. Not only did we see Jupiter, but we got to see 2 of its moons. We spent the night talking about life, enjoying the meteor shower, and observing the beauties of nature - our definition of a perfect night!
